Naoya Inoue vs Sam Goodman Canceled

Sam Goodman vs. Naoya Inoue will have to wait as their upcoming fight is postponed due to Goodman suffering a cut during training camp. This leaves Inoue without an opponent on December 24th. No word yet is available on whether Inoue will fight a replacement or not. Sometimes, fighters go on to fight someone else just to keep up with their fight schedule. However, with nearly ten days remaining until December 24th, there isn't much time for any potential opponent to prepare. Or is there?

This stifles Naoya Inoue's plans for 2025, which include possible matchups with Alan Piccaso, Morodjan Akmadaliev, and even a matchup with fellow countryman Junto Nakatani at a later date.

The Sam Goodman fight would have been a excellent one. There's a reason why Goodman is ranked the 3rd best super bantamweight in the world, according to Ring Magazine and the TBRB. He's a great fighter. Simple as that. It's a shame that the fight had to be canceled. Just to watch Inoue's fights are something to watch. It would have been great for the sport of boxing to have Inoue face a crafty fighter like Sam Goodman. This cancellation is such a great disappointment.
