Bivol vs Beterbiev 2 afterthought

Bivol vs Beterbiev 2 poster

Bivol, as I predicted, won a close decision—the performance I thought he was capable of. The outcome was a majority victory. After predicting the winner 7 straight on this website, I finally got a prediction wrong; however, my prediction rate is still over 90%.

Kabayel vs Zhang

Zhang did everything wrong in this fight. Despite having the right idea in the opening round, Zhang failed to dictate the tempo after that. He waited for Kabayel to punch first, thinking he was a defensive specialist. There's only one answer I could think of as to why. Zhang didn't have the right plan. He tried to keep the distance between him and Kabayel, but that wasn't a smart move because in the end, he became too defensive and was never able to establish his size because he became too dependent on what Kabayel was doing.

Zhang was able to knock down Kabayel in the 5th round but didn't have the stamina to finish him. Give credit to Kabayel for being able to shrug it off. Most opponents of Zhang weren't able to get up in that hurried fashion. Usually, the big man from China ends up knocking them out. Zhang's mistake was a lack of aggressiveness to stop his opponent from recovering. Zhang might have been very ill-prepared for this fight because it seemed every punch he was throwing was a struggle. This enabled Kabayel to keep coming forward and made Zhang into a defensive fighter, which he is not. I don't know what it is. It could be his age. Or his body could be his weakness. His body is not as strong as his head? Perhaps. All that matters in the end is the outcome.

The outcome of the Agit Kabayel and Zhilei Zhang fight totally just took me by surprise. Congratulations to Kabayel for the victory.

Bivol vs Beterbiev 2

Bivol adjusted from the last time he fought Beterbiev. I have tremendous respect for both fighters. Whether this is the last time the two men meet in the ring or not, they have already cemented their legacy as two of the best fighters in this generation.

Beterbiev seemed to become a little bit more frustrated in the later rounds. He was never able to readjust to Bivol's constant movements in the ring; therefore, he was never able to catch Bivol flush on the face like other opponents of his.

Would I like both of the men to meet again? Absolutely. They have a balanced matchup. The third fight will be just as exciting as the first and second fights. Despite getting one of my predictions wrong today, I am delighted to see Agit Kabayel, a budding talent, rise to the challenge.
